As a result, Hydman-Vallien's works were always unique. Hydman-Vallien studied at Konstfack in Stockholm, where she also met her future husband Bertil Vallien. In her designs she incorporated references to Biblical iconography and feminism, but worked out in a simple and sometimes humorous way. In addition, she also designed utility glass. Her name is closely linked to manufacturer Kosta Boda.
