Featured new Painting
Featured painting by Ferry Slebe, Flowers, oil on board, signed and dated 1965.
Slebe was a Dutch painter, who is considered to belong to the new Hague school. He admired van Dongen, Matisse, Dali, and regularly used them as a source of inspiration. He also liked to call himself a 'little master'. He was born in Ambt-Almelo but lived and worked most of his life in The Hague.
'I paint what I feel and then give it to the wind. Everyone is allowed to see in it what he or she wants...'
The work is beautifully framed with a silver-colored frame.
