About Kunstiek
My name is Bart Knoester, founder of Kunstiek.
With my company Kunstiek, an art dealership, I specialize in paintings, watercolors, gouache paintings, drawings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th century20th.
From a young age I was surrounded by art, because my parents founded art dealership Knoester in The Hague years ago. They were enthusiastic and had a passion for art. They specialized in "the new Hague school", the school of Hague painters and sculptors that emerged in the fifties and sixties around the groups Verve and Fugare. In addition to their work in the art trade, my parents also wrote the book De Nieuwe Haagse School, with contributions from well-known names such as Jan Cremer and Gerard Verdijk, and interviews with artists such as Kees Andréa, Herman Berserik, Harry Disberg, Hans de Jong and Jan Roëde.
From them I inherited my love for art, it is an addiction, but one that I cherish.
if only i had a bigger house... My interest is broad and not tied to one specific movement. At Kunstiek I buy and sell art that I find beautiful and interesting, regardless of the style.
