Yvonne Visser, 'Sofie', the dancing hare.
Artist Yvonne Visser depicts people in her bronze sculptures, which resemble animals. A hippopotamus sitting on a bench; exuberant frogs; or cycling rabbits. But also the dancing hare, Sofie. A 5-meter-high version of this sculpture stands along the A28 highway, near Tynaarlo, between Groningen and Assen.
The partially gilded bronze sculpture of a hare, Sofie, as a ballerina, stands on a rectangular hardstone base. Certificate included.
H 20 cm (approx. 25 cm including base).
** The three (beautiful) photos of Sofie along the A28 were provided by René and Peter van der Krogt.
