About the artist - Tineke Bot

Tineke Bot is self-taught. She learned to sculpt from Mari Andriessen and bronze casting from well-known Dutch bronze casters. She learned to draw and paint from Bob Hoope. In 1970, Bot started her studio in Hilversum. Since her first solo exhibition in Laren in 1974, she has exhibited several times at home and abroad. She has lived in France since 1994.

Bot mainly makes figurative, bronze sculptures, in which the body and spirituality of the human being are central. In addition to sculptures, she also makes watercolours and graphics.
Sculptures by Tineke Bot can often be found in public. Both in the Netherlands and abroad.
