About the artist - Harry Verburg

Harry Verburg was born in 1914. He studied at the Royal Academy of Art and the First Dutch Free Studio, both in The Hague. Verburg was a student of Lou Asperslagh, Paul Kromjong, Henk Meijer and Christiaan de Moor.

He was a member of Pulchri Studio, the Haagse Kunstkring and Liga Nieuw Beelden. Verburg received, among other distinctions, the Royal Subsidy for Painting. Today, his works can be found in collections including the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and the Dutch National Art Collection. Harry Verburg died in 1986.
