A beautiful painting from the 1940s, a characteristic geometric abstract composition by Pieter de Haard. Special green tones, acrylic paint on paper, dated 1946, in a beautiful custom-made wooden frame by Gehring / Heijdenrijk. 60 x 48 cm, including frame 74 x 62 cm.
Pieter de Haard was fascinated by space and infinity, mathematics, music, visual arts and their relationships. This work shows the strong influences of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and his 'Colour Theory', which fascinated De Haard.
